Buttons @ the Fleet & District Festivities

22nd Nov 2013

It was pretty cold and it rained a few times but that did not stop the super people of Fleet and surrounding areas donning their coats and scarfs and having a wonderful time on Wednesday afternoon/ evening.

I don’t know the numbers yet but it was a good few thousand and Buttons was there outside Sainsbury’s in the big white marquee crafting from 4 till about 8pm.

I joined the committee a few weeks ago and when asked about volunteering to do a crafts tent jumped at the chance.  The marque was supplied by the committee and the cost of the crafts was donated by a local company called Infowright Ltd. Myself, Jade and Stevie set up at 3pm we went though over 350 crafts in total so it was a fantastic turn out.

A big thank you has to go to our helpers from Calthorpe School, Penny, Rebecca, Lucy, Jemima, Zara and Kayleigh. Thank you girls 🙂

We got the chance to have a wander up and down the high street after we packed up and there looked to be lots of lovely stalls. I got some amazing stolen bread from Odiham Cake Company (all gone now though 🙁 and the live music was amazing.

A massive well done to all the volunteers to pull this local event together. Reading though the facebook pages it look like everyone is agreed it was a huge success!
