A weekend with Buttons

18th May 2012

Hello & Happy Friday to you all.

I’m afraid I have not had time for a Craft Book Challenge today as I have a party this afternoon (got to leave in two hours) and 4 more over the weekend. So instead I thought I would tell you a bit about my parties and let you in to a day in the life of Ellie Kelly.

I got up at 7am and got dressed in my Buttons party gear (jeans, branded polo shirt and some funky Converse I designed and had made) and then went to the garage to get everything ready for my parties. I have a Fun & Games party today so I made sure I had lots of sweets, stickers, a full bubbles gun with extra bubbles just in case, magic wand and trick, hoola hoops, sound system, ipod and party light.

I then got some bits ready for tomorrow events. In the morning I am at The Performing Arts Centre at Frensham Heights School near Farnham to entertain the children who parents are attending a day of Discovery about type 1 diabetes. I was so pleased when JDRF picked me to host the children’s entertainment because Mr Kelly has type 1 diabetes and the more information people are told and have access to, the better for both themselves and their families. I hope I can make the day great fun for all the kids and ensure the parents can sit back and take in all the great information.

At 12.30 I finish at Frensham Heights and head over to Newbury for a joint 4th birthday party for two lovely girls. This party will include lots of great traditions games, balloon models and face painting. On Saturday afternoon Stevie is also hosting a party and she will be in Bracknell for a 3rd Pirate & Princess themed birthday party for 15 children. She is set with pirate flags, princess bunting and tons of great games that will keep the children engaged and giggling for an hour.

After a very early night on Saturday I have a fairy craft party for 18 girls in Cobham on Sunday afternoon. The fairy wings and big craft box are ready to go. I am also providing and setting up table cloths, chair covers with pink sashes, table glitter and balloons for this party so my morning will be spend getting the balloons blown up and packing the car ready to arrive early at the hall to get the bits and bobs all set up. I have booked a lovely catering company to provide the food for this party and the girls will each have there own fairy food box with shaped sandwiches, grapes, crisps, mini sausages, juice and fairy cupcakes. Yummy!

Any then on Sunday night I am going to put my feet up on the sofa, watch TV and most likely have an early night!

I hope if you have a party this weekend everything is going well. Remember not to get stuck in the kitchen on the day and ensure you see the magic moment, laughter and get some photos of your little one growing up.

I will be posting a craft blog next Monday so keep your eye’s peeled on Face book and twitter.
