Magical things to do this December

5th Nov 2015

70%-100% of my time from now until 3pm on the 24th December will be spent planning or partying in the name of Christmas. And I am totally ok with that.

I love Christmas. It does take quite a bit of planning to ensure I have a life outside work and have time to buy presents see friends and enjoy some of my own magic in the festive season. That’s why I’m going to start planning now what I am going to do on my few weekday afternoons off.

I love to have a trip out with Mark, do some crafting for either gifts or home decorations, a Christmas meal with friends and of course time out to put up and decorate both our tree and my parents (it’s a tradition we go over and do there’s as well with snowball in hand).

If you like me have to get ahead of the Christmas madness to ensure you fit in all you want, then I have some fab family days out below for you.

Meeting Santa

Lapland UK – Berkshire.      Your children will help in the workshop, meet the reindeers, huskies, decorate a gingerbread man and meet Father Christmas!

Fortnum and Mason – London.   Magical storytelling for children 3-11 years and a goody bag to take home.

Santa Cruse on the Basingstoke Canal – Mytchett. Hope on the Rosebud for a trip down the canal before getting of to find Santa in his winter grotto and recvie a gift befrore a trip back for mince pies and warm drinks.

Skating

Natural History Museum

Hampton Court Palace

Somerset House

Eyeskate – London Eye

Shows

Slava Snowshow – London.   I went to see this show in 2013. This is a really fun and interactive show with bubbles, giant snow balls and fun. A very different style for show for the whole family.

Elf the Musical – Dominion Theatre.   I didn’t event know this was a thing! On until the 2nd January only. Go to the site to see a video.

Disney on Ice – O2 Arena. Worlds of Enchantments, Character from Toy Story, Little Mermaid and Frozen take to the ice.

Nutcracker! The musical – Pleasance Theatre.  Fresh take on the Nutcracker story with modern musical score.

Have a magical time!
