It’s a Princess & Pirate Party

11th Jun 2012

A few months ago I was booked to style a hall in Fleet for a Princess & Pirate Party. It’s taken me a while but I wanted to share with you some of the images that were captured by the wonderful Kate Griffin before the children arrived dressed in there uber cute outfits and we went on an adventure to find the stolen treasure.

Pirate Hat & Tiara

Great combo

This was a large hall with lots of bright blue notice boards around the walls! So I covered the 6 meter wall behind the entertainment area from top to bottom with a Princess palace backdrop  and then ran the back drop around the other 3 walls. These backdrops and the mixed Princess and Pirate balloons helped to hide the clinical, cold and bare hall and bring the Princess & Pirate theme to life.

I also used pink organza to create curtains and give the illusion that the entertainment area and the party lunch area were divided. These were attached to the ceiling and ran 1.5 meters into the room and were gathered three quarters of the way down with pink ribbon.

Because this was a little Princess 4th party we had more princess then pirates. I set out a U-shape table and had the two long sides dressed for the princesses and the central section for the pirates.

I was sent this jug by the cool guys and girls at Chillistick along with a box of dry ice. That was an exciting delivery I can tell you. I used it at this party to get the children reaction to Chillisticks new creation the Dragon Jug. I can tell you now they loved it! And how call does it look on the pirate table.
