Alice in Wonderland Party

24th Dec 2012

Yesterday was my last party before Christmas and the theme, Alice in Wonderland/ Mad Hatters Tea Party. I had been looking forward to this party for ages….it was a great one to work on.

After some research I decided on turquoise, purple, red and yellow for the main colours. I then sourced giant tea cups and planted them with flowers, inflatable flamingos, giant playing cards and clocks and pretty food plates which I stacked and topped with flower napkins. I also found some really cute mini crackers so they were used as fishing touches to the tables along with red chocolate hearts and key and heart sprinkles.

For the party room a found a woodland back drop to hang behind the food table and made a This Way, That Way sign to stand in the entrance. A family friend had made some amazing Mad Hatter Tea Party characters for her 21st and we used them on one of the other walls. I then made up four floor weighted balloon clusters with a red heart shaped balloon in each one.

The party was for Louisa’s 7th birthday and the venue was the Railway Enthusiasts Club in Farnborough. The set up started at 1pm and with help from Louisa’s older sisters and family we were ready ahead of schedule and had time for some photos before the party guests arrived at 3pm.

Now we need to talk about the fancy dress. Louisa was of course Alice and look fantastic. But hats of to her older sisters and the other party guests as well who all made a fantastic effort and looked amazing!

Bravo to Treenie, Louisa, Sam & Jess!

This was my last venue theming party for 2012 and what a fab one to end on.

This is also my last blog in my 24 day blog challenge and I am now off to catch up on some sleep and eat and drink to much with my lovely family.

I hope you all enjoyed my December blogs and I hope to see you in the New Year when I will be back blogging three time a week again.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you all!! 🙂

  1. Hi just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same results.
